Honey Protein Bars

Perfect on-the-go snack! 

Makes 12 square bars 

Ingredients: 

  • 6 C organic corn flakes

  • 1/2-3/4 cup protein powder of choice *

  • 1.5-2 Tbsp cocoa powder

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1 C nut butter (peanut butter, almond butter, etc, or mix)

  • 1 C Honey (crystalized or smooth) 

Directions: 

  1. In medium/ large bowl, mix together corn flakes, protein powder, cocoa powder, salt

  2. Then stir in nut butter, mix well to fully coat cereal

  3. Lastly, stir in honey and mix very well; consider mixing with hands to fully incorporate 

  4. Press mixture into a 8”x8” baking pan, cover pan, then move them to fridge so they can firm up!

  5. Once they are firm, cut into 12 squares (or desired size)

  6. Store in the refrigerator, covered, to avoid oils from separating, this will also keep them firm! 

Notes:

*I use a mix of grass-fed whey protein powder (plain) with collagen peptides. However, I have also used a mix of unflavored plant-based protein powders in this recipe- both mixtures turn out well.
