Trail Bites
Ingredients:
1 cup dates, packed
½ cup oats
2 scoop grass-fed whey protein powder (I use unflavored)
¼ cup hemp seeds
¼ cup Tbsp cocoa powder
2-4 Tbsp milk alternative
Optional: 1-1.5 cups almond pulp, from homemade almond milk
1 cup nut butter (peanut, almond, or a mix), others would probably work too!
Directions:
Blend dates in food processor*
Add all the ingredients except for the nut butter, then blend well
Next, add in the nut butter, do not over blend- just enough to mix well; add additional milk (1 Tbsp at a time), if need
Form them into balls and keep them in the refrigerator to prevent the oils from separating
