Peanut Butter Honey Sauce

This sauce is a great replacement for maple syrup if you want to boost the protein content of pancakes, waffles, and French toast. Also try drizzling it on oatmeal or using it as a fruit dip.

Powdered vs.regular peanut butter may be preferred in situations when you want to limit fat intake (i.e. before a run!)- it has the majority of its fat content removed, which makes powdered peanut butter a pretty awesome pre-workout meal addition!

Makes 2 serving (you can easily double or quadruple this recipe to serve more*)

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup powdered peanut butter*

  • 2 Tbsp water

  • 2 Tbsp raw honey

  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon, optional

Directions

  1. In a small saucer bowl, mix all the ingredients together well

  2. If you prefer a thinner sauce, add ~ 1 tsp additional water

  3. Drizzle away!

Notes

*Easily double, triple, or quadruple this recipe, just use a large enough bowl to accommodate. Remember that there are 4 Tbsp per ¼ cup!

*There are many brands out there that make powdered peanut butter. Most all grocery stores should have it, it’s usually in the peanut butter issle. If not, order it online.
